The US economy continues to show signs of recovery. If our leaders in Washington could just get it together, I believe that the economy could well take off. At present I still have concerns about their ability to lead us in this way at this time.
I learned long ago that one of the most important fundamentals in successful investing is to invest specifically based on who you are. Your time frame, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, accumulation target, etc. Getting very specific about this process and adjusting your plan as time goes by is crucial to success. Often I meet people who have portfolios that don’t match who they are at all and are probably more likely to match the investment advisor’s objectives that put their plan in place.
